My cruise planner, Mrs. Lisa Mattern, is an exceptional & trusted professional. I’d highly recommend her to anyone needing travel advising and booking. Excellent in every way.On the other hand, after our recent experience on the Carnival Vista (8/10/24-8/18/24 sailing), our once-in-a-lifetime Southern Caribbean cruise was absolutely destroyed due to Carnival’s poor business management.
We would never & I repeat never book a Carnival cruise ever again, nor with any of their subordinate cruise lines. The underlying cause of our cruise being ruined was Carnival’s total failure to properly & competently maintain their equipment. All of the other factors that are highly publicized about this controversial cruise are secondary to that fact.
The Captain being apathetic & laughing at the upset passengers inflamed the fans of discontent among the passengers & greatly contributed to this mess. He needs to find himself unemployed, because ultimately in the maritime environment, HE is responsible for the operation of his ship, and everyone/everything on it. He failed. He bragged that he’s a former Naval Officer in the Italian Navy & he knows this.
In the future, we’ll definately be utilizing Mrs. Mattern’s superior services to book our vacations, and we highly recommend that you do as well!

Took my daughter for her graduation present on an eight night Eastern Caribbean cruise. I can't say enough about how much Lisa helped us and ultimately provided a stress free, seamless vacation of a lifetime.I'm a worrier and Lisa worked with me every step of the way. Where to even start? Our trip was delayed with Covid and Lisa was by our side the entire time handling all of the stress for us while we got to sit back and relax. She was able to reschedule our entire honeymoon to Ireland at no additional cost! We didn’t have to do a thing, just show up for our flight! The CIE tour to Ireland was incredible and is also highly recommended. Returning home, our connecting flight from Chicago to detroit was canceled at midnight. We had been at the Chicago airport for 12 hours and was beyond tired. Multiple flights were canceled that night, and there were no flights available for 2 days and no rental cars from the multiple vendors. At midnight, Lisa spent around an hour with no complaints and worked endlessly until she found us a rental car to get us home. Many others at the airport were stranded without cars but thanks to Lisa, we made it home! We are so thankful for Lisa otherwise we never would have made it to Ireland in the first place, and also never would have made it back! Our trip to Hotel Zilara in Dominican Republic began in December 2020 when Lisa recommended, then planned our entire trip in September 2021. It was the best vacation we have ever been on and Lisa made it so. The VIP service through immigration, passing everyone, private transportation to the hotel, an awesome poolside room, and every restaurant, all the entertainment, and activities that she guided us to were fantastic. Lisa booked all of our hotels driving from Michigan to Miami and back again. One of the hotels was horrible and i made a call . Ok my friends if you don’t ever hire a travel agent now is the best time. It been a tough year on themI have an amazing one. With everything being canceled and life changing by the minute. It AMAZING!!
We drove to Miami Florida last week to see family. Took 2 1/2 days to get there. My travel agent booked my hotels. Listened to us like how much do we wanted to spend, breakfast no breakfast and we got to our hotel in Orlando and a drug deal was happening in the parking lot and now one was around. I was freaking out in the room called my friend Lisa Gregory-Mattern from danli cruise planners
told her what was happening and not only did i get my
Money back but also a new upgraded room at a beautiful hotel for almost the same price.
FYI it doesn’t cost more to have an agent to take care of all your travel

We have used Lisa Mattern at Cruise Planners for many cruises. We had a cruise booked for November/December 2020 that due to health issues we had to cancel. I asked Lisa to please cancel for us since she booked it for us. She gladly helped us and said with things being the way they are it would probably take 90-120 days to receive our refund. I don’t know how she did it but 12 days later our money from NCL was back in our account. Thank you for your help Lisa!!We have used Lisa Mattern at Cruise Planners for many cruises. I had a group of eight, four experienced and four new cruisers. Everyone had a great time on ship. We enjoyed the specialty dinners, the meals were superb. Our balcony rooms were well appointed and having a coffee pot in room was a really nice change from past cruises.Being able to set up our excursions in advance made day one so much smoother for my new cruisers.
The one bump we had was bad weather that caused us to miss out on our last port in Costa Maya, but even that was a positive as we explained how NCL was keeping us safe by not trying to dock in rough seas.

Recently we had the opportunity to have Jodi Beth plan a last minute trip and tour of Chicago. The execution of this trip was flawless! Hotel accommodations exceeded our expectations in terms of location and amenities. Within 48 hours we walked over 20 miles, visited Millennium Park, Navy Pier, took a Pirate Ship cruise out into Lake Michigan, walked around the Field Museum, and took an evening architecture boat tour of the Chicago River. We were lucky enough to travel with Jodi Beth as she also suggested we try a couple of well known bakeries (Stan's Donuts, Fire Cakes, Public House, and Goddess and The Grocer). On the last day of our trip, we had the opportunity to go to the top of the Willis Tower (Sears Tower). Overall, we had an excellent few days away touring a city we have only passed through. Recently traveled on the Allure of the Seas with DanLi Cruise Planners, and it was incredible. We did not have to worry about anything, and if something did come up, Lisa and Dan were always there to help figure it out. We did a Brewery Tour excursion on St. Kitts that Lisa had set up for us. We were welcomed with our own driver for the day making our island and brew tour unique and personable rather than having to hear over a large group of people, which we enjoyed a lot! Thank you Lisa for coming over and reviewing our vacation final details with us last night.Our 12 day Mediterranean cruise with extra days in Barcelona started 18 months ago with you making our dream trip come true yesterday as you provided us with an outline, our shore excursions we picked vouchers, and your smile sending us on our way in 1 week.

Lisa,Our room was perfect, our dining location was a 10, trip overall was a ten, Atlantis and sting ray encounter were 15's, every aspect of our trip has gone unbelievably smoothy, and perfect weather the entire trip to top it off!!!
We will have to really challenge you to out do this trip when we go again ( which we will, just not sure how soon).

We've used Lisa Gregory-Mattern twice now for booking vacations. I can attest to the excellent service when one of our flights got cancelled last year and she handled all of the re-booking for us. There was not one moment or detail of our trip that Lisa Gregory-Mattern and her travel company did not think of for us. (she even had the cruise ship do a birthday cake for me) She help make our trip special and wonderful. We had the best time and are so relaxed now. We are not even out of Miami yet and are planing our next trip. Thank you Lisa for being so good at your job; and all your help!!
